Dear Friends,
This past week I had the honor of working with Bobby Hendricks- the lead singer from the original Drifters and also the Playmates who are a local band in Lakeland, Florida. I worked as the recording engineer for a singles project. The song was called "Mississippi" and was written by Eddie Snyder- famous song writer who has written for Frank Sinatra and other great singers. After the song "Mississippi" was aired live by a radio station that was on location at a Holiday Inn in Lakeland, Fl. Thursday April 3rd, I was able to speak with Eddie Snyder who was in the live audience. He is a remarkable gentleman. He is now 89 years old and in good health. Bobby Hendricks did a live performance of other great hits that he made famous such as "Under The Board Walk". Bobby Hendricks and the Playmates are currently working on a CD, which I will be producing with Don Amicone. Bobby has taken an interest in a song that I wrote some years ago entitled "Beauty Queen". It will be included on the CD.
Thank you for your interest and I appreciate all your support.
Warm Regards,
Richard Young
